In order to bring this home back to its original glory, we had to have custom columns made, and much structural work was done to get everything level and plumb. To replicate the spindles, we hand turned green cypress on the lathe in the shop, producing a piece that is indistinguishable from the originals. This was a painstaking process, but the result was well worth the effort.
